Had a few hours on her today :D

Image

Front end susp/cross member/steering rack etc removed and stripped ready for powdercoating, just a few bushes to get pressed out ;)

Chucked the seats in to keep them clean :)

Could not fit rears though,as previous owner has cut the brackets off shell X(

Image

The Mitsi seam sealer on strut tops is a bodge 8-| too much of it,and stops the strut brace sitting flat(you can see the indent in the sealer)
So its got to be re-done properly ;))

Image

Got all the front end nuts/bolts soaking in Vinegar ready to go to be re-plated ;)

No,GSR :D

You pay circa £5000 more for a Tommi Mak than a GSR VI,and your only really paying for the name :ymsigh:

Cause there are not alot of upgrades over a GSR,diff seats,10mm lower springs, faster spool up turbo, slightly more advanced ECU :)

All Evo's that I know of have alloy arms ;)

Cosworth gone years ago :))

Was rotten X( and eng lost all oil pressure and had bad piston slap X(
Sold the big brakes/wheels etc then sold shell to a breaker :(

I've had a Evo V since then, that too turned out to be rotten as a pear L-)

Real nasty bodge job on rear chassis :-o

Broke that for parts and bought this VI shell and using eng/box/interior out of V to get this in one piece ;)

I think the EVO II was the first to have forged aluminium front arms, the VI was the first to get forged aluminium rear arms.

I've been told Cillit bang is even quicker at cleaning rusty bolts, also removes zinc plating etc though.
