My 309 didn't have a wiper interval. I found you can add it easely. Buy a second hand 205/309 wiper switch and blue relay. But you can improve the system with a VW relay 99, to have a variable interval. Take it from a Golf MK3 / Jetta / Vento /Polo / Passat / transporter T4, building year 1992 to 1997.
It's this one:

You have to insert the relay on the fuse-board (if you have already the blue one, replace it).

If you didn't have a interval before, replace the wiper-switch bij a 205/309 one with interval. The right one will have 3 switch stages (one more than without).

I'm very happy with this

How it works: Put wiper switch in interval state, switch immediately off. Wait the desired interval-time. Switch to interval again. The interval time will be now the desired interval-time.

TOO FAST?! On the first setting you can't be serious? It's like waiting on a bus before it actually wipes the screen.
